What's New In K-Beauty 3.5

And hurrah for more new stuff coming our way. The brands have all decided to go in and launch their summer collections since it's the hot summer season in Korea. These are just some of the new stuff that the brands are launching or have just recently launched, from special edition launches to another cute character collaboration. 

I'll be posting my haul from my two trips to The Face Shop from the past few days, plus giving reviews on the haul I got previously after another week or so. 

It's safe to say we've seen this coming. The Face Shop and VDL collaborating with the Kakaotalk characters, Missha getting the Line friends, and Holika Holika getting Gudetama, it's only fitting that the cute Rilakkuma and Korilakkuma characters get into the K-beauty scene as well! And what better way to get them out there than by matching up with A'Pieu in a super cute line that avid K-beauty lovers would want to get their hands on. From cleansers to eyeshadows, cushion foundations and lippies, A'PieuXRilakkuma is one collection no one would want to miss out on. 

A favorite brand of mine, Aritaum has come out with more eye makeup products! You've seen the Micro Micro line that they had with the mascara and liquid and brush liners, there's this too. Inspired by their best selling idol lash falsies, they've widened the range to eye products. There's the Curl Up mascaras, the liquid and the pen liners, and also the waterproof eye pencils as well. I'm assuming this is just a repackaging of their Style Pop waterproof eye pencils, but we'll have to see if there's a difference. 

Get those brows on fleek, everyone! Mamonde has released their Two-Step Perfect Brow brow mascaras. The wand itself looks unusual, but that's because the end of the wand looks like a doe foot applicator for you to tint your brows properly, and the spooly at the bottom not only blends the tint in, it'll also groom and fix your brows to keep them looking good. 

I'm Meme:
Contouring has been around for decades, and it only boomed again when the Kardashians started to overly-contour and highlight their faces. The trend has since boomed in Korea as well, and the brands have recently been releasing their contour and highlighting products brought about by the western trends. I'm Meme/Memebox Korea is no exception. They have released the I'm Multi Stick, the colors of which you can use for eyes, cheeks, and lips, and for contouring and highlighting. And it wouldn't be a K-beauty brand without having a cushion product! They have their I'm Cushion and I'm Fixer as well. 

Last year, Skinfood has launched perhaps one of the most unique looking cushion products in the scene: The Pore Fit Cushion bottle. A cushion bottle. This time, they've released something in line for the summer season: The Pore Fit Cushion bottle Sun, which most likely means a tinted sunscreen! That also has a cooling effect, cooling your pores and keeping your face fresh in the hot weather. 

Jung Saem Mool Beauty:
Makeup artist Jung Saem Mool has uploaded a tutorial using this one. The multi-use eye product called the Refining Multi-Eye Drawing Ink. From brows to eyeliner and eyeshadow, it's perfect for those of us who want something that can multi-task without having to look through the rest of your makeup stash for other products. Apart from this, she's also come out with the Refining Lash Fit Mascara, a long-wearing mascara that's suited for Asian eyes. 

And lo and behold, VDL has come out with a rhinestone studded line called the Awakening Collection, in collaboration with Coco Rocha, the line includes a specially packaged cushion foundation among other products that are down in the photo below.

The brand has released a specially packaged CC cushion that looks oh-so-elegant and pretty.

Pony Effect:
Looks like Pony has definitely come a long way since her days doing "Pony's Beauty Diary" on Youtube. She has since become a known name among the K-beauty scene, and has launched her own brand that many have raved about. Her own brand has constantly come out with new stuff as well! One of which is this: the Coverstay Cushion Foundation. What makes this unique is the packaging. Cushion products are usually round, and Espoir is one of the brands who have had a square-shaped cushion foundation. Now, Pony Effect is another brand to do so. 

Apart from that, the brand has also released the Mattifying Blur Pact: a pressed powder that blurs out your pores for a smoother, pore-less complexion, the Stay Fit Matte Lip Color: I've previously mentioned in another What's New that the beauty trend for the summer is bold, matte lips. So, she's also got a liquid lippie that dries to a matte finish. And finally, the Long Wear Precision Liner eye pencils; they come in different colors apart from the standard black and brown.
