What's New In K-Beauty 4.5

I have returned with another post, and this time, it's my usual "What's New"! We've approached the middle of the summer season in the countries with 4 seasons, but here in Manila, it's the hot/humid/rainy season where if it isn't sunny, it's super humid, and if it's rainy, it's still a little humid. It's humid all year round here, haha. So, let me get started on the many new things I've found here and there.

The Face Shop:
Seeing as they've come out with their Disney collaborations, releasing 3 cushions; a Mickey Mouse one, a Winnie the Pooh one, and a Mike Wazowski one, they also have some nail polish to go with it! This one in the photo, has your favorite characters from the One Hundred Acre Wood. Cute, right?

Laneige Two Tone Lip Bar Review + Swatch!

Okay, I'm going to come out and be honest: I've never really watched "Descendants of the Sun". However, after looking at the clip of Song Hye Gyo retouching her makeup in the elevator, I just HAD to find out what lippie she was using, and when I found out what it was, and what shade it was exactly, I HAD to get it. I think it's like that whenever you see something that looks good on a celebrity, you want to have it as well.

As everyone who knows would probably know, Song Hye Gyo is the face of Laneige, which is one of the higher-end K-beauty brands out there. Laneige is under Amore Pacific, along with Innisfree, Mamonde, Aritaum, etc. So it comes as no surprise that the makeup she is seen using in the drama would be from Laneige. And me, having had a Laneige kick lately, I was set on buying something from theirs.

I'm going to do a review of one of the new shades of their oh-so popular Two Tone Lip Bar. I ordered this off of Kpoptown for $18, I think (fairly c…

July Collective Payday Beauty Haul!

Okay, this is not your ordinary haul. This payday haul of mine, I had to think long and hard about what I wanted to get the moment my pay came in a few days ago, and I came to a decision, as well as a left turn (due to a speed bump that came in the form of Althea not being able to access Paypal), and got 3 things in which I realized I didn't spend as much as I thought I would. Two items are from Laneige, and one of them, it may not be from a Korean brand, it is still rather hyped.

I ordered from 3 different sites this time: BeautyMNL, iBuyBeauti, and Kpoptown. But I've also taken a trip to the different K-beauty brand stores that are here in Manila to add to this collective haul post. I might do a few more picture-laden reviews for some of the things I got as well.

The things I got:
Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence - The much raved about sunscreen. I've been looking for more lightweight sunscreens that absorb quicker, so I got this.
Laneige Two Tone Lip Bar #11 Juicy Pop -…

What's New In K-Beauty 4.0

So, I think this has been long awaited, really. Work has suddenly underwent a big change, so while I wanted to update this blog with another post to inform my readers, outside obligations have once again prevented me from doing so. But, other than that, we're approaching the middle of the summer season in Korea, and thus more and more new products are in store, with emphasis on the season.

If you're way behind on the new trends in the K-beauty scene, never fear! I'm here to inform you about some new releases that have been on the market recently, or for a few weeks now. They may not be new news to many of you, but for others, it would. While most of these have photos, there are other new releases from brands that I have not managed to get photos of.

And thus, we shall start! I might post up my payday hauls sometime soon, when the 3rd and last package out of 3 has arrived safely in my hands. I would also be posting up a picture-laden review of one of them as well!

My Current Skincare Routine

Now that the weather has been slightly cooler, marking the start of our monsoon or rainy season here in the Philippines, I figured I'd share my current skincare routine. As much as I want to have a set skincare routine, I really can't as much. I am set on trying out new things, and you know how it goes with us beauty junkies; we have to get our hands on the new stuff that comes out.
But I'll come out and say that I'm taking a more practical approach, seeing as I can't get myself buying new stuff everyday. I'm currently saving up for my trip to Korea this September so rest assured, that by the time I'm back, I will have a ton to blog about, a.k.a a big HAUL post.
Moving on, some of the products here, I've already mentioned before in a previous skincare post, but some are fairly new as I am currently trying them out. Sort of. I will also try and post up another What's New sometime this week, but if not, maybe next week.

The products that I'm curre…

Short Reviews # 4

So, since it's been a few weeks in already, I thought I'd give out my opinions regarding a few things I bought and have already used over the course of time, or at least until I made this post. So, like usual, if you read my blog on a regular basis, you'd know how I do these short reviews. You can refer to the haul photos for reference so I can tell you all what I think of these products. To make up for the lack of photos, I will try and give long explanations as to what I thought as well as first impressions and all that.

Cosrx BHA Summer Pore Minish Serum

Like I said before, I ran out of my Innisfree serum and while I do want to repurchase another bottle, I figured I'd try out other serums first before going back to it. The consistency is kind of watery, and the bottle's really sturdy (I dropped it once before, and was relieved to see that the bottle didn't break). It has some sebum absorbing powder at the bottom so you'd have to shake the contents for i…
