Attempted Look: Shock Treatment - Dr. Nation McKinley Inspired Makeup

I got tempted to play with my makeup again, reaching for products I haven't reached for in a while. This look is my spin on Patricia Quinn's character in the movie "Shock Treatment." The movie is the sequel to "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" and Patricia Quinn plays Dr. Nation McKinley. Compared to Rocky Horror, her look is a little more wearable and it matches her green doctor's outfit. This look is actually similar to an eye makeup look I posted in my instagram too. Anyway, I hope you all like the look.

What's New in K-Beauty 5.5

I was supposed to put this up a few weeks ago, but real life stuff got in the way. I just started a new job and I'm still on the learning curve where I'm just having a hard time so I just got around to doing this now.

So, summer is over and fall has begun, which means new products for the fall and winter lines in the K-beauty scene. The products I'll be mentioning are new and have been around just over the past weeks so they're not technically new, but they are recent (and new to me too, just putting it out there).

Espoir:
They came out with the Gentle Aura line just a week or two ago, but this is their newest topping powder (I'm going to assume it's called the Pro Tailor Topping Powder or something like that) and it comes in three variants: Tone Up, Strobe, and No Sebum.
If you're not familiar with the whole concept of "topping," it's just what they call mixing your powder into your foundation or something like that. This goes best with the bra…

Attempted Look: Blue Liner & Red Lips

So I have decided to play with my makeup once again and show you lovelies what other looks I can create. This time, it's a combination of blue and red. Blue liner and red lips. It might not seem flattering for me, but it may look great on others! The whole inspiration for this look was from the movie "Funny Face" with Audrey Hepburn and Fred Astaire. Kay Thompson, who plays editor-in-chief Maggie Prescott, has this look of bright blue eyeshadow paired with a matte red lip. Unfortunately, I don't own matte lipsticks so this is my own glossy twist to it. This look could be worn everyday, and if you think the red is a little intense, do a gradient lip!

Attempted Look: Golden Smokey Eyes

So, here's the thing: While I love my eyeliners, I still need a lot of practice when it comes to playing with eyeshadows.

So, the inspiration for this look is from the very first sequence of "X-Men Apocalypse" (strange, right?), the scene in ancient Egypt, the one with the very first horsemen. One of those horsemen had this really nice eye makeup that I wanted to try, and when I watched it again, I saw how it was done. This is me trying to recreate the look because it really looked so nice. I didn't bother with the base makeup in this attempted look because it's pretty much the same, and it's also according to your preference.

What's New In K-Beauty 5.0

So I am back with another post about the newest things in the world of K-beauty today! Also, I've brought on a new layout for the blog so it's nicer and sleeker now. I was originally supposed to put this up weeks ago, but since the outside world has piled a lot on my plate, I've only managed to put this up today. Let's begin!

Laneige:

Another collaboration has come over the high-end K-brand Laneige. Here comes their Lucky Chouette collection. It comes with specially packaged versions of their new and improved BB cushions, as well as a multi-color palette, with is good for the eyes and cheeks. It also brings in their serum drop tint.
