My Top 10 Products of 2016!

I normally don't do posts like these, except for my list of Holy Grail products because my makeup collection is relatively small for a beauty blogger, and I usually throw away my bottles of skincare products the moment I use them up. Also, I don't really try a lot of new skincare products (probably because I'm a bit wary, given my skin issues a few months ago). But now, I think it's safe to say that I've tried quite a number of new products this year, some of which are still in my arsenal.

So, before the year ends, I'd like to do a little something new. My Top 10 Products of 2016!

In no particular order:

1. Cosrx AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner: So far, I've only tried out the Etude House Wonder Pore Freshner from the Korean toners I've tried. Then I went back to using Eskinol and I know those two products I mentioned have a ton of alcohol, which is bad for the skin because it hella strips the moisture away. Then I came across this. This toner also h…

My Holiday Makeup Look - Mattes and Pink Lips

So, it's the holidays and Merry Christmas to everyone of you! This year was a shitstorm of bad events, but there are still a lot of good moments too.

Let me start off by saying a big thank you to all of you that read my blog. This has become one of my passion projects and I'm so glad that at least there are people that check out my posts.

With that, I will show everyone the look I had for the festivities this Christmas. A lot of people choose to go glittery or full-on glam for the holidays but for me, this look was just inspired by one of Audrey Hepburn's makeup looks, particularly in her movie with Cary Grant, called Charade. Her look is rather timeless and is still being done today. Matte face, matte eyes and pale pink lips.

Here's a screencap. I made sure to get one with her eyes closed so I see the eye makeup she has on:

This is my spin on the look. I didn't have false lashes with me (since Audrey Hepburn wears some in the movie) so I made up for it with eyelin…

Short Reviews # 6

So now, I thought I'd get around to doing some short reviews for my skincare products. This might be a shorter review post compared to the others, but that's only because I just got around to not being totally broke a few months ago, so I wasn't able to try out newer products. Still, I did try out a few new things. The rest of the products I currently use, I've already previously reviewed.

Also, I'm sort of on a Laneige kick lately. The new BB cushion pore control is my HG, and now I find myself venturing into their skincare, which is just as raved about.

Laneige Water Sleeping Mask
Thoughts: I didn't know why I decided to get this just recently, because I've been hearing so much good reviews about this product. Anyway, I love that it's in a gel form, because I don't really like heavy creams and stuff. I also love how quickly it's absorbed into my skin. After using it the first few times, I've definitely noticed how my complexion got brighter…

Holika Holika Waterdrop Tinted Foundation First Impression/Review

So, honestly I don't know whether to consider this as a review or a first impressions because I literally just got this today. Haha. But anyway! It's been a while since I did a product first impressions/review and this time, it was something I've previously placed on a "what's new."

It's the Holika Holika Water drop Tinted Foundation! Also, this now holds the distinction of being my first ever liquid foundation.

I got this off BeautyMNL for Php895. For a foundation, it's actually reasonably priced. It costs a little less than the Etude House Double Lasting Foundation. Anyway, I got this in the shade #2 Warm Ivory.

As it says on the box, the Waterdrop Tinted Foundation is a long lasting liquid foundation that provides a matte finish as the light texture adheres to the skin while moisturizing the skin with water droplets.

December Makeup + Skincare Haul

The Christmas season is upon us and we can already hear our wallets and bank accounts crying over the amount of shopping we have to do for family and friends. Fortunately for me, I managed to already know what gifts to give, and I already have them all wrapped up, it's just a matter of who I'm going to give them to next, haha.

It also means payday for me, so I was able to get my hands on some stuff, one of which I will be posting a first impressions later! I'm just so glad I got to finally get my hands on some products which I've posted up on one of my "What's New" posts as well. These are some of the items that I have on my insanely long Christmas list, so it's great to have to check off quite a number.

So, I got these items off of BeautyMNL and Dara Beauty Market (see my 'where to buy' tag)

My BeautyMNL Haul:
Holika Holika Water Drop Tinted Foundation - I will be posting the first impressions/review of this later.
Cosrx Holy Moly Snail Mask Sh…

What's New in K-Beauty 7.0

So I am back again with posting another "What's New" in K-beauty. I'm pretty sure many of you lovely readers of my blog already know what's new in a lot of brands lately. But for the benefit of those who are still fairly new or do not keep up with what's happening. I apologize for yet another super late post (I'm pretty inconsistent and I'm sorry for that!). Work just has been super crazy and I had some personal issues going on in my life.
Jumping right ahead, as I've said before, these products/lines may not be very new to a lot of people anymore, but it is still new to me. So let's begin!
Etude House:

One of the trends in K-Beauty that I've noticed is of color correcting. For those who don't know, this takes place before concealer or foundation in particular. So, Etude House has changed the packaging of their Any Cushion - color correcting ones. It actually now looks more similar to their bb cushions. They previously only had the Play…
