February Haul!

It's that time again for me to post up my beauty hauls for this month. As you may have noticed, I compile all my hauls into one post because I usually buy my makeup and skincare at around the same time. I have noticed, from how I purchase things, partly for myself and partly for this blog is that I tend to be drawn towards skincare a lot more than makeup now. I personally think it's a good thing since a good canvas for the makeup starts with great skin.

Although lately, I've been suffering from breakouts for some reason (it might be because I'm nearing my time of the month), so I'm trying to retreat to my tried and tested products in terms of skincare which means, there isn't much on skincare side of things this time.

However, hurrah for new makeup! New eye makeup, to be specific. I bought these from the nearest Etude House and Tony Moly boutiques as well as ordered them off (see my "where to buy" tag).

Espoir Pin-Up Curler Eyeshadow Duo Swatches + Thoughts

I am back with a product that I'd like to share my thoughts on. These were actually coming from Espoir's line that got discontinued, so it's a given that these are now hard to find, but bless Kkochipida (see my where to buy tag) for having these in stock. As far as I know, they only have the red duo left in stock now.

The Pin-Up Curler Eyeshadow Duos from Espoir!

I got my hands on both duos from the collection, the Salon de Jane duo and the Hunting Lady duo. The duos are Php 385 each on Kkochipida + Php 70 shipping fee if you're in the Metro Manila area.

Both shadow palettes have satin/shimmer shadows. Flurry is more of a beige-almost white kind of color while Splendid is a shimmery navy blue. Pump Up is a beautiful rose gold while Sensuous is more of a rusty red kind of color (I really don't know how to describe these ><)

Attempted Look: Going Parisian; A Parisian-Inspired Makeup Look

And I am back again with another makeup look that I wanted to share. Just like I said on my previous post, my schedule at work has become a lot more flexible and thus I'm able to   come up with some content to post on this blog of mine. This look was inspired by those articles in Vogue that I read about Parisian style. Black liner and a bold red lip is the look of choice and a little bit of strobing to get a little glow on.

Attempted Look: Edgy Valentine's Day/Single Awareness Day Makeup

It's February, and it means couples around the world get lovey-dovey while the singletons watch from a distance. Kidding! Of course everyone's going to do their own thing during the month of love~ In my case, it's my mom's birthday.

Anyway, for the past few days, I've been experimenting a whole lot with makeup. Since my schedules a lot more flexible lately with work, I have been coming up with different makeup looks and some of which are most definitely a fail. I'm not exactly on the expert level when it comes to putting on makeup because there are things I have yet to learn and practice. Do you guys have also have difficulty when it comes to putting on makeup?

I honestly get confused when it comes to the eye makeup and the lips. Oh well, before I go off in another direction, here is the look I've created! It's more on the edgy side, or at least I think so. Haha. It's got tones of shimmery beige and grey/taupe on the eyes and gunmetal liner. It also…
